China exported missiles and missile components to Iran, Syria and Pakistan, breaking repeatedly the rules imposed by The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), according to American documentation quoted by Washington Times.
The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) is an informal and voluntary partnership between 34 countries to prevent the proliferation of missile and unmanned aerial vehicle technology capable of carrying a 500 kg payload at least 300 km.
According to a document classified until 2009, signed by American State Secretary, Hillary Clinton, China did not manifest the “political will” of stopping missile exportation.
“Chinese authorities and companies do not verify the suspect transactions and do not take measures for locating the companies which effectuate them”, the American document informs, according to Wikileaks.
According to American documentation, China exported components of ballistic missiles to Syria and Iran through Dalian Sunny Industries and Technical By-Products International companies.
Both companies were sanctioned by American authorities in 2009.
A Chinese official is supposed to have declared that the authorities checking actions ” do not have the mission of locating all weapon transportation” according to the same American document.
